A private London walk to tickle your fancy! The crown exposed.

This illuminating London walk encompasses all of royal Westminster. It’s a cheeky exploration, or exposé, of British monarchy statue-by-statue, king-by-king and queen-by-queen: the mad, the bad, the dangerous to know; and those who were quite nice actually.

It’s a light-hearted walk, frivolous, quite rollicking and yet 100% historically accurate!

I’ll tell you everything you’ll want to know and yet very little you’ll need to know, like: which king was known as the ‘man of blood’, how did George IV annoy his friends, which monarch played tennis at Wimbledon…and what colour was George III’s wee?

We’ll cover Edward the Confessor (very religious), Edward ‘the Caresser’ (not at all religious), a nasty slave-trading king and we’ll doff our caps to one of the nicest kings you could ever wish to meet; and all points noble and ignoble between. Monarchs were not always as dignified as their statues and memorials would like you to think. But some were.

Our walking route includes many of the great London landmarks, especially those connected to royalty and royal events. Grand buildings, great churches, royal palaces and beautiful green spaces also surround us on this walk, right in the heart of central London.

If history, architecture, art. . . . trivia, gossip and a sprinkling of violence is your thing, then THIS is the royal London tour for you.

Our walk also takes in:

  • Buckingham Palace
  • St James’s Palace
  • Trafalgar Square
  • Pall Mall
  • The ‘Royal Route’
  • Westminster Abbey
  • Houses of Parliament and Big Ben
  • Changing of the Guard ceremony when it’s on (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday). To include parts of Changing of the Guard ceremony we will need a 9.00am – 10.00am start.

Tour with a local guide: qualified, verified, experienced and friendly.

I’m your private London guide and I’ll be explaining as we explore. There are plenty of stops for photo opps. I’ll talk as we walk and when we’re up close.
